What is the difference between a lifestyle and documentary session?
Do you offer payment plans?
What is a product credit?
What kind of gear do you use?
Do I have to order prints through you?
Why is a USB so much more than products?
A lifestyle session is a photo shoot in the comfort of your own home or even in a special outdoor location. The session uses very little posing and focuses on many of the intimate details of a session that may otherwise be missed.
A documentary session is totally unposed and solely in your home. The photographer is a "fly on the wall" so to speak and specializes in capturing events exactly as they occur.
If you are concerned the investment of your session is going to be out of reach for you, please get a hold of me and we can discuss potential options to make your vision come to life.
A product credit is a dollar amount credit designated to a product like a print, album, or wall art piece. Any credit given goes toward a purchase of your choice.
I am a natural light photographer; this means I do not use any strobes or flashes. Only sunshine and shadows are what make up my art! I use a mirrorless DSLR camera and several different lenses depending on the lighting situations.
The short answer is: yes.
I prefer if you purchase your products through me for a couple of reasons. The first being, I have done the best I can to find quality products at a good cost to you. If you choose to print your images at another lab, the quality may not be up to my standards and that puts your happiness at risk! The other reason is that you help build my business when you choose to order through me and my lab of choice.
We live in a digital age where most people prefer to share their memories on social media and be done.
I, however, disagree with this practice because of a few reasons. One of them being, it is extremely easy to put a USB in a drawer and never look at your photos again. Your walls and shelves remain empty and slowly your beautiful photography experience is forgotten. How sad!
The other reason is, by giving you a USB , I am essentially giving you rights to print, buy, and share photos however you please. While I want this for you to an extent, it does tend to damage my business in the long run if that is the ONLY thing I give you. Therefore, the USB in a way is more valuable, hence the higher price tag.
